U.S. Orders 10 H125 Helicopters from Airbus

U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Air and Marine Operations has signed a contract with Airbus for the purchase of 10 H125 light helicopters to strengthen its fleet.

The H125 helicopters will be used for border security, law enforcement operations, and public safety missions. Airbus said the new order further strengthens its long-standing partnership with CBP AMO, noting that confidence in the H125’s performance in demanding operating conditions played a key role in the selection.

The aircraft will be produced at Airbus’ facility in Columbus, Mississippi. Designed for patrol, surveillance, and tactical missions, the H125 offers multi-role operational capability while standing out with low operating costs.

The model also features advanced safety systems, including dual-channel full authority digital engine control, an engine data recorder, and dual hydraulic flight controls.

As one of the world’s most widely used single-engine light helicopters, the Airbus H125 is expected to support CBP AMO’s fleet modernization efforts and enhance its operational capacity.
